Update: Last 2 Weeks of December 2012

I'm really looking forward to a decent crop of corn this year...haven't had much success in the last few years but we can just about hear this crop growing and it's reaching for the sky! It is really enjoying the soil in the Old Chook Run Garden.

Sweet Potato cuttings - Hawaiian Sunshine and Beauregard into a new Wicking Bed in The Old Chook Run.

  1. The corn looks good and I'm imagining your whole block looks like an oasis in your type of climate; there is a mass of planting there. Good job! And Happy New Year to you both...

      The garden is shrouded under shade cloth this week as the temperature hovers in the 40C's with no relief in sight yet.
      I hope 2013 is a better year for you as you regain your strength...all the best.
